    Voice Integration Tiguan MY11

    I am very disappointed. I specifically asked the dealer probably 20 times that I wanted voice integration.

    He specifically told me it will have it, and it will drive the SATNAV, Radio etc..

    Of course - It does not work.

    I took delivery of the Tiguan in June. It's a MY11 125TSI Manual, with Factory Fitted BlueTooth (9ZB), and MDI. It has Dealer Fitted RNS510 SATNAV.

    The dealer and saleman [B]specificlly told me that Voice Integration will be a software modification they will make[B] to the car when it arrives. Of course they did ot make it. I thought "here we go...!". To date, their technician has not been able to solve the problem. The dealer, whilst still takin my calls, does not return back with information I want him too.

    We are still trying to resolve the issue. Technician coming out again in a week, but I think he is coming to 'try a couple of things' and I'm pretty sure he does not know how to fix it...

    Have I been mislead by VW ???

    - Does ANYONE have a Tiguan's MY11 with RNS510, and Factory Fitted BT (9ZB) physically capable of this ???

    - What is your suggested course of action and re-compensation ??

    I feel a bit jilted. Please - this is driving me nuts !

    We have an MY11.5 Tiggy with the RNS510 SatNav head unit. Our voice activation works fine. It's actually a very useful feature. Press the microphone button on the steering wheel, and tell the car what you want. Strange that yours isn't working.

    Just today, eventually - the issue was figured out. I now have voice activation in my RNS510.

    One question remains .... Are Australian models still unable to SPEAK the destination addresss they want to navigate to (instead having to rely on keying it in, or, selecting previous destination) ??

    (are we still waiting on a 'map data' upgrade) ?

    Yeah that's what I noticed. You can't speak a navigation destination. However, you can speak and dial a phone number using voice commands - which I only just figured out last week.

    What was the issue with your voice activation?
