Vandals pick on my poor Tiggy- Panel Beater wanted

    Hi Forum Members,

Well sorry to report my Tiguan got the end of some stupid idiots abuse last night suffering a kick to the rear door right on the crease line. Too much panel damage for dent removing unfortunately. Has anyone had a door repaired? The guy at Stylemaster in Richmond said the panel could be repaired but as the car is only 18mths I am wondering what the best fix is seeing it will be a hit on my insurance. He said they still put new door skins on.
VW use Dietmar at Eurostyle Bodyworks, he did our Golf -OK job. Sth Yarra VW recommended Stylemaster and Corso both in inner Melbourne.
One thing I didn't like was that they might spray both doors and rear to blend the colour in. Personally if they can't match the colour (Candy White) these days and only paint the affected panel, then something is wrong especially on such a newish vehicle.
Anyone unfortunate enough from experience to recommend a top place for my repair within 10kms from Melb CBD?
Have a great Xmas all and take care of your Tiggy (and yourself !).

    That is a real shame.
They should be able to match Candy White as it is a metallic not a pearl.

    Any pictures for us?

I'll take the usual evidence pictures and post. Candy White is Non Metallic.
Even Metallic Colour matching is good now days. I might add if anyone gets a bumper resprayed, make sure it is sprayed a different colour.
Dietmar at Eurostyle a few years ago made sure to spray a Reflex silver bumper the correct colour for the bumper as aginst the car colour.
Not too sure how it works but I had a friend get a Honda Jazz repaired and they painted the bumper the same as the car and then the owner said the front and rear bumpers were different colours, mmmmmmm Beware. I guess a good panel beater knows this stuff.

Oh that's right, it isn't metallic.
Should be very easy to match then.

The only issue i can see with the bumpers is the fact they are plastic and as such may not reflect the same colour as the metal body.

Let us know how you go.

A guy in a salvation army van scraped the front right corner of my Tiguan pulling into the kerb ahead of me whilst I was sitting in my car 2 days ago.

Mine is off to Charlie in the New Year too.
