Unlocking the boot

lately i've been having trouble opening the boot from remote.

Usually i would just unlock the car and you could open the boot by pressing the boot button at the back of the car and it would open no problem. But lately that doesnt happen anymore, i would have to press the middle button the remote and even then the boot still wont unlock when i press the boot button.

Whats the usual setting for opening up the boot?

I see two scenarios here.

You've either got a faulty boot and or remote or you've changed the way your car unlocks through MFI.

Read your manual if youre still stumped otherwise take it to your dealer.

Go into the MFD, Settings, Convenience, Door Open, Manual, All Doors.

If it is not an MFD issue as Ryan_R has raised then it looks like either the micro switch in the boot lid handle is faulty or the solenoid mechanism is packing in. Try the spare remote key to confirm it is not a remote issue. I have read in the vortex forum the lid handle is prone to faults if water gets into the tailgate as one USA owner found out.
