I assume that the above list is what you have seen so far... Delivered tyres may also depend on the wheels selected too - I imagine? eg standard 16" - above list, 17" ?, 18" you have mentioned the GoodYear and Continentals, what about the 19" Savannahs?
Not really worried what we end up with though, as the factory supplied tyres dont tend to last long anyway. Will report what we get in a few weeks now...
BTW - it's always good to know a VW dealer is a member on this forum. All we need now is access to a VW Parts Dept. and at a forum price.

hi,
My 18" Sierra Alloys came with Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres. Tehy seem quite harsh on the ride though.
I did run them originally at 33psi front and rear (as supplied by dealer) but the road noise and crashing over potholes and ruts was driving me nuts.
I then dropped them down to 30psi on all 4 corners and the noise abated a little (to a more acceptable level) and the grip went up and is fantastic in the dry and wet.
I put them back up to the recommended minimum of 32psi and I noticed a distinct deterioration in the grip on that mornings drive in to the office (as well as the noise). It was a dampish misty morning and I could feel it starting to slide around a long fast curve that I always go around. I have driven around this bend more than 50 times, always at the same speed and the higher pressure definaly made it feel more like a fairground ride. this bend is at the end of my 20 mile journey so the tyres would have been fully up to temp (cruise on motorway first at 80mph).
I know that my wear will be worse on the outer edges and they will most likely only last 10,000 miles (and my fuel consumption come to that) but I prefer to stay on the road frankly!! My mitigating circumstance is that I mostly drive the car with no luggage and on my own so the lower pressure is not so much of an issue.
I will be swapping these tyres out for a different brand as and when they wear out though due to the road noise and fidgety ride over anyting but a dead flat surface. I do have the sport suspension that does not help but even so........
Cheers,
Paul

So nobody on here has gotten the 19 inch savannahs?

19" savanahs are not covered by ADR rules and as such cannot be sold here by the dealer's as an option.
You can source them from oemplus/us dealers/getvwparts.com however i don't know the implications for your insurance if anything was to go wrong.
They do look pretty schmick though.
Especially with the black backing.
I got Pirelli P6s, seem OK, handle pretty well.
Don't imagine they'll be too hot on a dirt road

I got Bridgestone Deuller HT's on mine. I fitted 18" RS4 replicas on my Tiguan a few days later with 235/50/18 Hankook Ventus V12 EVOS. Initial impressions are lower tyre noise, better ride and handling than the Bridgestones.
ours came with hancocks on the standard 16's. No complaints, they've been good so far (14000 klms)
Suggest some sort of voting set-up might be better on these sort of issues in the future. There has been a lot of 'opinion' on this thread, with no easy way of getting an overall sense of peoples experiences with different tyres.

We got the Hancrooks and have to say that they are starting to look very ordinary at 20,000kms. We will definately be looking at an A/T (all terrain) tyre when these are ready to throw out, which will probably not be very long.
