i haven't got a Tig but do have a Mitsubishi Outlander fitted with Bridgestone Dueller (maybe the HP pattern?). Generally, I prefer Bridgestone tyres but these are very noisy on 90% of road surfaces, wet grip is lousy and they don't "talk to you".

Our previous SUV was a Holden Captiva diesel with Dunlop Sport on it. I have a long standing loathing of Dunlop tyres and was right-royally peeved when I saw they were OEM on the Captiva...... but guess what? They were quiet and gripped really well and were very communicative.

So to those that got hankook & wanted Bridgestone - maybe you dodged a bullet.

I have the Bridgestone Dueler HPs on mine too and very happy with them. Fairly quiet and good grip on all surfaces, can't ask for much more in an SUV tyre I don't think.

Don't know much about the rubber, but I feel that this performance tyre doesn't compromise the ride quality. And it IS ultra quiet. Very satisfied.

also it is made in Germany.
I got the Goodyear with my 18in and they seem OK. The Tiguan also come with Continental on the 18in. They are a little firm ride but stick to the road OK. Had a similar tyre on a 626/Telstar and told directional tyres are passe and noisy for most road cars. I changed to Hankooks and they were fantastic tyres, so much quieter. Hankooks seem to have improved even more but these were 15in 55profiles.
As for directional tyres off road, I doubt these Goodyear will be at all good but then I don't plan leaving the bitumen much. The Continentals look like a better tread for off road.

My 147 Tiguan came with Bridgestone Dueller H/P Sports 235/55/R17. Interestingly Bridgestones Australian web site does not list that size as being available here.

that's interesting. HiFi, could you check out the load capacity rating code of the P6's? (it's normally after the tyre size and will be 98W or something similar - the letter is the speed rating).
