Does anyone have a mate with a boat? Like a really, really big boat?? If so, MULTIPLE GROUP BUYS!! Just think... No duties or taxes, a couple of cartons for boat owner instead of shipping! With the money we save, we could get even more performance/appearance enhancements!

Now where was that "who tows a boat" thread... ?

duty is 5% & is levied on the $1500 total = $75. GST is 10% but I can't remember if it's on the $1500 or $1575, so I called it $150 hence my use of the ~ to denote approx.

Ah so the 225 is GST and duties included.

Lemme go back to my Google Docs spreadsheet.

Some countries also share a free trade agreement with Australia though so i believe you don't incur duty if the item is manufactured and sent from those countries.

I thought duty on automotive parts was 5% but on other things (wine etc) it can be up to 15%

    $1200 (goods) x 1.05 (5% customs duty) = $1260

    $1260 + $300 (shipping) = $1560

    $1560 x 1.1 (10% GST) = $1716

However, there may (or may not) be other fees and charges that apply. Don't assume that the above is all you'll pay.

Most likely, if you're over the $1000 mark and Customs gets involved, you also may need to engage a Customs Broker as negotiating the system (ICS for Integrated Cargo System) is a bit of a nightmare - most people find it easier just to get a Broker to do it on their behalf. No idea on fees for that though but I don't think it's exorbitant and may save a headache...

    Hi Guys,

Just a little bit confused as to how much I should fill my tyres.

18" Eagle F1's that came from the dealer with 37-40psi.

Fuel cap says 220kpa, which is 32psi.

Can't go wrong with fuel cap recommendation?

    32 seems low.
I run 38 in the fronts and 36 in the rears

    36 all around is good.

Ok, will fix this up later today.

Was trying to get the tyres right so I could calibrate the pressure sensors.
