Tyre Wear, auto wipers, windscreen condition

I'd guess that the wipers are functioning haphazardly because the sensor is constantly being smeared by whatever mix of chemicals and compounds that are clinging on your windscreen.

They should function as intended once you figure out how to clean the windscreen (and wipers), though given that this isn't a problem specific to Volkswagen, Google might be better suited to your enquiry.

I hope they can get rid of them as they are quite annoying. Once you know they are there and you cant get rid of them you see them every single time the windscreen fogs up

Diesel_vert - your probably right, and i hope you are to be honest. I will see if VW are willing to offer some suggestions as i am sure they would know every trick in the book otherwise i may have to see if the glass can be professionally polished by a glazier

As you may know, the rings are there because of the process involved in fitting the screen during production.

Last I checked, there was a bulletin about it, but as far as I'm aware, the recommended fix is to have the outside of the screen polished with a solution that is mentioned in the bulletin. I'm fairly certain they wont replace the glass.

In regards to tyre wear, run your tyres at 40psi on the next set, and see how you go.

If they can get rid of the rings without replacing the glass thats even better, but if polishing it doesnt work i will be asking for them to replace it. I dont know that polishing the outside will do much as it appears to be inside, but who knows....

I dont believe the tyre wear is pressure related to be honest. I do believe it is alignment related but was more trying to determine if it was a common problem with the Tiguan. Its often easier to get things repaired if you know its a common problem

I think comf. pack is a great option...
The only thing (related to mine) with the auto wipers is that you need to toggle the auto function off, then on, to reset it after turning the car off.
I think that no matter how it was programmed, there would be someone who would prefer it differently...
