Hope others don't have the same problem. Dean at Volkspower was really great about it though and offered a loan car to me whilst they keep my car for the 3 hours they need to download the software.

    Still dreaming of 190kw......
Hey tanehy do you know what software your car is running? I am due to pick up my 125TSI mid April and planing on having the APR remap too. Is your Tig a Jan 2010 built date? could this be the problem?

Just a question in regards to the APR remaps, if you take your car to have a service at VW, could it be possible that VW might release a new official ECU reflash? If so would it over ride an existing APR map? and would APR allow unlimited reinstall of their product.

Once you have purchased the remap, you can have it re-flashed onto your ecu if Vw wipe it for no charge according to APR.

No idea which version my car is running... there was a whole string of numbers that Dean showed me but it was the last 4 numbers which were the problem apparently.

My car is a Oct 2009 build.

S3 intercooler is 30% larger than the std Tiguan's and can easily be fitted.

APR intercooler is almost 100% larger, but costs more ...

and BTW, once the APR dowpipes are approved for production, I believe they will be distrubuted from Australia to all markets that need them ....
Well I have the track and field version and I had the option to buy a BSH one from the US built for the GTi as I'm a dealer of them, but it didn't fit correctly so I needed to make some different tubes and change a bit the bracket.

But it's perfect and it's waaaaay faster and consistent under this +30°c temperatures.

We have at least 9 separate files for the petrol Tiguans so far, and VW are releasing new versions every batch (or so it seems).

We are trying to keep on top of it, but until we see it, we can't capture it

yes.. it's actually common to see the different variants.. most of the time, there are little tweaks that they make to the engine management system.

the major changes usually come 2 years from the time that model was first launched....

11/08 build and they haven't updated mine yet - at least nothing that has effect the APR mapping (but then my delaer knows what I have loaded too).

Not sure if it will work on our Aus delivered 4Motion tiguan's though.
Is this the same as a downpipe?

They're almost identical to the Neuspeed items so they should fit fine on the 4mo tig (according to Neuspeed their's fit on the 4mo).
