Hey All,
I just noticed there is an option called "Load Management Active" on the same screen where you can disable Cold Start Check (for license plate LED) [see page 1] byte 23 bit 5
Anyone know if disabling this will just turn off the load monitoring of all the globes on the TIG?
I have installed some nice error free LEDs in my fogs and they look great, but they despite being error free, throw a code.
Be interested to hear others take on this option.
Cheers,
Superviza

I ended up getting:
Blesk 37mm Festoon
These give an error on the MFD
SZ Error Free LED Lamps
These give an error in the MFD
Pretty disappointing especially with the FOGS as they look great and from what I can see, you cant supress the fog warning or disable cold checking on the fogs like you can on the License Plate.
Ill have a play with VCDS before returning the fogs.
Ill post some pics later tonight for a reference.
cheers,

FWIW, I don't necessarily think it's the products are faulty.
For some strange reason, the in-built resistors just aren't fooling the later model VAGs.
For instance, I definitely know I didn't have the problem with the blesk when they were on my Mk5 Golf.
But at the end of the day, it's just a light on the MFD!
Does it really bother you that much to return what is are working fogs?

Yeah the newer models must be more sensitive to the resistance being supplied by the error free LEDS.
Does it bother me? Yeah a little....
Does it bother the wife? Yes
Hopefully I can at least suppress the Lic Plate warning using VCDS as there is a byte for that.
Ill have a play with VCDS with the fogs and see if I get anywhere...
EDIT: HID Concept have been great and have offered to take back the fogs based on the fact that they are not error free on my car, so thats a positive. Hopefully I wont need to!

Yep .. definitely can get rid of the licence plate one @ Byte 23, Bit 6.
However it can come back briefly when you first turn the key to 'on'.
But will disappear again when car is actually started up.
P.S. Perhaps fit the 37mm Blesks on the rear passenger doors instead!
That's where I have them also at the moment and you'll be amazed the difference it makes.

When you say back doors, you mean the rear roof lights? I wasent even aware I had lights in my rear doors?
Yes ... that's what I meant! The lights above the rear passenger doors

Just added disabling seat belt warning (since someone asked).
Refer to post #2 of Page 1 for details.

When the Alternate Speed Display MFD option is selected a digital display of the speed is shown below the current consumption etc
As this displays MPH when the default units for Australia are otherwise selected (ie Km/Hr and l/100Km) is it possible to get the Alternate Speed Display to show Km/Hr instead? (and not alter any of the other displays to non metric units)
