Depends on what reverse sensors it has. If they're dealer fit, I believe there is some wiring trickery to sort out at the micro switch on the 13-pin plug cover to cancel them out. If it's factory-fitted and integrated into the radio unit, then yes, more coding needs to be done.

As for the fault codes with LED trailer lights, that's normal. The trailer control module doesn't support them, as LED lights on trailers weren't in fashion in Europe at the time.

    Success!

    Well Mostly success..

Because I'm using LEDs the Lamp failure warning illuminates on the dash when I use the bike rack.
And, the reversing sensors are not disabled when the lights are plugged in..

    I can live with that..

The coding worked easily and as advertised, Big thanks to Jason at AudVolks, Oakleigh. It took no time at all.

The three wire are up above the kick panel on the drivers side ,you need to slide the seat right back and lie on your back,
The plug had a foam rapping around it ,and there is very little room to work ,

I found 3 plugs, 2 wires each in the foam rapping, near to obd port and J519 module. 2 of them are conneted. Third, the blue one, is not connected. Do you mean those (how can i post a photo here)?
How those plugs should be connected? Do you know their names on current flow diagram?

Ok. I know what has to be done now.

Shouldn't there be a kind o connector from VW to connect those 3 plugs without cutting them?

Do you know what are the names of those plugs? (I want to check it on current flow diagram, before i connect them -just to be on the safe side)

I think i found it on the diagram. Pin 7 and 8 from 12 pin socket, should go to J519 module, socket T52c, pins 15 and 16. They also connect to CAN low and CAN high (J533 pins 5 and 15). Will try to check it on the vehicle today.

Yep. As expected. Pins were for CAN low and CAN high. I had to cut blue'ish plug under the dash - couldnt find an adapter to connect all 3 plugs. After this operation, i was able to add trailer module to the CAN line (via vcds).

    Hi all,

I recently installed the trailer module (1K0 907 383F) in my 2012 Tiguan. I spliced the wires under the dash and coded it using VCDS.

I tested the input measurements of the trailer module using VCDS and it picks up LH turn, RH turn, brake etc. signals.

I don't have the wiring harness from the module to the trailer connector plug, so I was planning to make my own to a 7 pin flat connector. I do have the plastic connector with 10cm of cut wire which goes to the trailer connector plug socket on the module. My plan was to test the wires with a multimeter and splice accordingly. Unfortunately, while five cables give a reading of ~1.2v, two cables of 0.5v and one of 12v they don't fluctuate when a signal (LH turn etc.) is made.

    Can anybody assist?

    Regards,
    Alex V

My Passat has a 1K0 907 383 F, so the wiring should match.

Check out page 300 onwards, J345 is the module's name.
