Had a quick look in the engine bay this arvo after washing the car. Looks like there are some space at the back of the engine around the firewall as Transporter suggested. Here's the photo:

Just wondering how I should mount the ProVent body now. Not sure what those two screws are for. My technical creativity seems to be failing me. Maybe cos I don't know where all the lines are supposed to be connected to. And also don't know how to drain the oil out.

Just out of curiosity, would installing this void warranty? Especially when I bring the car in for it's 30,000km service in 6-8 wks time? I'm sure my APR CAI would also be a definite visual alert that would void warranty?? Lol...

Anyone in Melbourne who could help w this installation?

Mate, if you wait for about a week, I'm going to fit Provent in our Tig and I can make 2 brackets that's not a problem. The area you've circled is the best one, but you can't use the 2 bolts you circled there (not enough strenght in them).

What hoses are you going to use? I will be geting some for mine, I could get more at the same time.

That'll be awesome Transporter!! Truly! I'll pay for the materials n postage too, gladly! Could u maybe take a short video or some photos on how to install it too? Hope I'm not asking too much.

I got the whole kit from Western Filters because I absolutely have no idea what I would need and how to go about doing it and where all those lines go. This is what I got.

Here's what I've got in the box.

The lines seem to be off different sizes.

You need some 90deg. elbows and reduction from the Provent's 25mm spouts to these 19mm hoses, also some ways to connect to the PCV on the engine and to intake duct.

I will start tomorrow to put together the complete kit and post here.

Miro is already all over it, but a simple straight piece of alloy bolted to the battery tray extends back perfectly for that spot pictured, it's where I put mine at first.

OK, I had to work today longer than expected and wife is going to work tonight, taking the Tig, so I couldn't start with the bracket, but I wouldn't bolt the bracket to the plastic battery tray.
The location behind the battery is fine and no holes will have to be made anywhere in the firewall or the engine bay. I should have bracket done by Friday and depends when the hoses and elbows arrive, I should be installing the Provent on the weekend.

I took measurements (bracket and connecting hoses) and will order the elbows and some suitable hoses, is here anybody who wants the bracket and connecting hoses for installing the Provent into the TDI Tiguan? Except HaywireTig. So, I can order them to save time.
