    Hi White Tiguan.

You have done ur 30k service at the Hoppers Crossing dealership? I live close to that dealership as well and was considering getting my future servicing from there too. But also thinking about the new KD dealership as well. Might just give the KD one a go if the Hoppers Crossing one is not fantastic.

What are the standard servicing requirements for the Tig anyways? I got mine privately but I haven't asked about the servicing schedule yet as I've yet to collect my car.

    Unresolved is now resolved!
It was basically a Windsreens Obrien repair i wasn't happy with as it was a non OE piece of glass that i wanted VW to state that it was different to genuine, & therefore allowing water into the car. But now 'Windscreens' have agreed to replace with genuine, after i sent a nice-ish email to them.
The previously resolved items were wastegate rattle (clip ordered after they originally told me it didn't apply to Tiguan, only GTI...) and B-pillar clicking & creaking (door catches adjusted & lubricated).

But the cost breakdown for those interested is:
    Labour $350
    Parts $240
    GST $ 60

Can post a photo of itemised acc. if anyone wants to have a look. But they did a pretty ***** job of washing the car, would have preferred if they didn't bother with that. Coolant expansion tank seems to be rather overfilled as well, but i'll have to check that again when cool.

Checked this morning, definitely overfilled... more than 50mm above the top mark! It was fine a week ago...

Just picked up my new Tig yesterday; they offered me an additional 3 years warranty after the factory 3 years if I did all my servicing with Inchcape dealers (like Chatswood, Denlo etc - Inchcape is the company behind VW in Aus). Has anyone got any experience with the extra warranty ie is it worth the extra $$$ across the three services of years 1-3? It might also explain why the dealer servicing is more - they might be building in the cost of the additional warranty.

the three years extra warranty is around $2k from memory so it would be a good deal as i doubt the dealership will charge you $700 extra each service.

I pick up my new 132 Pacific one day in the next week (I hope!) and after reading lots of reports on this site about exorbitant servicing costs, I made a few calls to independants to chat about a few things - considering this will be my first VW since my 1972 Superbug !!!!

Anyway, the guys from CDamden GTI were a wealth of information and were quite happy to spend 20 minutes or so on the phone with me. They were also quite happy to quote on their service fees - which are amazing compared to dealer prices I've seen on this forum - eg $264 for 15k service.

They even offer a courtesy car (booked in advance) if required.

Overall, I was convinced that is where I will be taking my Tig for any required services. It also helps that I live in Southern Sydney and they are only about 30 mins away.

Can't wait to collect my car....it's been a bit of a battle so far

    Cheers
