Tiguan R line silver door strip.

Hi guys, I was wondering whether anyone knows if I can buy the rline silver door strip to use for my tiguan sport.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
The strip im talking about is in this pic it is the strip running down the side of the car 3/4 of the way down:

Went into Wally World and enquired about these.

Got quoted $260 for 1 front door and $230 for 1 rear door.

So $1,000 all up to get these that are standard now on a 155TSI:

FWIW, what you're looking at is the shiny bit actually integrated with the black plastic door molds below.
In other words, it is a new door mold required for each door, even though it looks like "the bling" is just stuck on top of the existing molds.

And even if you wanted to, you can't just buy the shiny bit on its own and stick it on top.


Nevertheless, I agree with the advice provided.

Have given this a miss and exploring the possibility of sourcing these overseas.
