Ouch, at least the airbags worked
I know, looks pretty severe but it really shows how sturdy and safe the car is.
And being hit completely side on and not rolling is a plus in my books.
A couple of pics of our new 147 TSI:

Prodigy, very nice, a two VeeDub family. There's a house on Godwin Street near where I live that also has a Golf and a Tig, both black. But United Grey is just so classy.

Took my 2 day old Tiguan out for a play in the hills today, I know it's not a proper 4WD by any stretch but I was quite impressed. It made it up steep muddy/loose gravel tracks without a fuss and I wasn't sure it would (mine doesn't have the Off-Road pack). Most of the places I went I've taken low 2WD cars without drama but it allowed me to take a few side tracks I've never been able to go up before... one in particular I pointed a Commodore at and it just sat there spinning the wheels. It's lucky the Commodore didn't go up there as it turns out because it's quite badly rutted.
It was raining and I used my phone so please excuse the low quality.

These first 3 pictures don't really show how steep that bit is, 4Motion kicked in to get the car up there.
-
This is after the heavy rain washed most of the dirt off

Anyone want a well used and lop sided arm chair?

The view from North Ledge down towards Mundaring Weir. I didn't think to take a photo before the rain started and obscured the view.

Didn't get any photos but I took it to the Powerlines Track (well... the track leading to it anyway) for a laugh, made it to the steep downhill rock hopping bit and wasn't keen to go further obviously. It's a soft roader and I bought it to use it as one. Very happy with it
Glad you are enjoying it's usefulness offroad.
I don't have the offroad tech either and was wondering how it would fare.
