Cant comment about any of the other tunes, but yesterday I had the APR stage 1 tune done on my Tig. As of a short time ago, I have now done 550ks with the new tune. Bugger the fuel economy. YE HA. Absolutely fabulous 57 kw for such a price. AWESOME

hi guys...
Next up for me is the whiteline front & rear swaybars and APR stage1...
i've Made an appointment meeting APR tuners next tues,would appreciate any of u whose on APR Stg1 to kindly give me a heads-up before committing...yes it requires benchtuning,but its a risk im willing to take after hearing n seeing good reviews so far. but the question is,what is the thing i need to watch out for after chipping it? ie coil-packs,ABS pump,sparkplugs to b replaced sooner?
As for swaybars,the set i've ordered comes with 4settings for front n 2settings for rear. as mine is a 4motion spec...what settings would you all reckon that yields the best balance n handling? i've heard soft for front n hard for rear...any good? just kinda worry it would induce understeer with the wrong setup...btw,the bars are both 24mm front n back...cheers!!

@Garyp
Would you be able to comment on the S3 intercooler on your Tiguan? I am considering an upgrade to the S3/APR/Eurojet one, but haven't found to many people actually having one installed. A lot of people say it's alright others say that it creates a massive (?) lag....
IMO,the S3 I/C was a great upgrade for me as previously my oil temp was always above 125-133'c during spirited drive n hard revving...since having S3 I/C installed,its been more consistent as its always below 120'c max so far under the above mentioned driving style...my oil temp now averaging 108-110'c during normal driving style. eventhough im running on stock without any remapping or box tuning,it wil certainly help cooling those with higher HP n Torque chipped cars further...but pls make sure you are not there when they take your front tig apart during installation...lol...oh btw,mine even coated with some sort of treatment spray for faster/better heat dissipating effect. cost A$90 though...

Melbourne winter time at the moment we are seeing around 6-17 deg C for the average range, it may go a bit lower in a couple of months. This is only the 3rd Melbourne winter i have had to endure & have decided it will be my last!
Must say the cooler denser air does give the car a bit more pep, though!
Last summer i saw my oil temp go up to 112 once on a hot, dry day (mid 40's), never 133 though! Maybe humidity plays more of a part in higher oil temps?

Yes...it does get nasty during summer in australia...but i do miss all d great fun i had there during my 2yrs stay in geelong...
yes u might b rite as i've been told humidity does play a part in our VW's oil temp...n yes i really do prefer driving my tig out at nite for a run at times...really punchy n livelier...haha!! so its safe to say no regret on the S3 I/C for me...

I was just looking for a nice affordable intake and found the forge Wintake. Looks nice, price is great and it doesn't fit my Tig due to the wrong maf plug on the OEM intake.
Are there any other affordable intakes out there apart from the carbonio? I actually like the carbonio, but the price is simply too much for me. I've seen GarryPs intake, but can't find anymore reliable information on it. Shame about the wintake..... that would have been my first choice!!!
