The link is off the Superchips page with results for Tiguan, but actually shows the curve for Scirocco (which I think is the same 2.0 turbo engine as Tiguan - but stand to be corrected by those in the know)

    Hello again.
Ever since i've gotten the Superchips tune I haven't been disappointed, my acceleration is on par on a rolling start with a RX8 (they are slow). The acceleration from start is fast and will be a HUGE improvement over stock. I'm not too sure about the 125TSI bogging down, I babied the car till 15,000 and got the tune around 30,000 all the way to 56k now. I have no complaints

Was offered the option of pulling ECU out to load, but not my cup of tea and it totally defeats the purpose of going with SuperChips in the first place. So got my money back!

Anyhow ... do let us know Tiggy1, if you do go down that route and it does work on yours.

Yep accelerator pedal is a real bitch to take off!

Unfortunately very hard to explain without pics of the pedal removed!

But nevertheless, I'll try and going off my vague memory:

If you look carefully at the very front end of the pedal (black plastic base closest to you) and lift it up a bit (and use a torch), there is actually two cut outs at the base. That's where you insert a long flat thin flat head screwdriver all the way in and try and probe or knockout the rubber clasp that's holding the pedal to the long centre bolt/stem that goes all the way down to the floor.

You have to insert in a good 10-15cm before you hit the centre bolt/stem.

EDIT: Just realised ABT pedals are the "drill them onto the existing pedal" type right?
If that's the case, then just drill and screw over the existing pedal.
In my case, it was a complete replace of the entire accelerator pedal unit with a mk5 GTI one.
Hi. Yeah, fully expect that could be the case, but can't hurt to try I guess. Will let you know how it goes. On the topic of the pedal - EEK, drill into my Tig?! Might have to rethink that idea
    Cheers

Yeah, did ask but they couldn't provide. I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" rings true, but in my case "beggars can't be choosers" (full of them/it today ain't I?!). In their defence, Peter (Oceania Director) has been very helpful and has even offered to come to me and do bench tune if it doesn't work! Still reluctant to have someone digging around in Tig's innards and pulling her heart out though

I think the bogging may be a DSG thing. Not sure if anyone else has any comments on this??? Just is sluggish until about 2,000 revs when driven in "D".

If you baby the throttle, then yes it's sluggish under 2k RPM.

If you mash the throttle on the other hand, you'll be surprised how hard it pulls in D mode.

Can't wait to chip my Tig to see how hard it pulls.

I just picked up a demo with under 6k km on it few days ago. Since Christmas coming, I suspect APR might do special for the stage 1. Do u guys wait till clock up more kms before the tune or would it be fine?

In my humble experience, i reckon 6K will be fine. I probably wouldn't do it to a brand newy, though... Just in case you were tempted to utilize the goodness during the break-in period!

    Congrats on the purchase fung!

In my opinion you should just do it. I know they're different cars/engines but I did mine at about 5,000 and don't regret it one bit! I've had zero problems since and if I were to do it again, I would do it within the first 2,000. Just remember to warm the engine (oil in 80's) and transmission. Once the car is nice and warm you let it f*@kin RIP!!!!!

In saying that, I just put down a deposit on a new 132TSI Tig (unfortunately a 6 month wait) and will be remapping within 2,000km for sure! Tunes are just too much fun - Life is just waaaay too short mate, enjoy it while you're here, because we're not here for long!!!
