Have yet to do a diesel Tig, but good god that petrol one we bench tuned up in Cairns with Simon was nuts afterwards. From memory it had a light DSG effect as well, wasn't a whole lot slower than the tuned Polo GTI, and THAT thing was indeed mental. A tuned Tig is certainly an appealing 4x4, having driven one now I understand, just wish I could talk the missus into one!

Dumb question but do the 132 and 155TSI's both share the same engine? If so, is it unreasonable to expect to apply the same tune to these engines and get a similar output? Cheers.

    Same engine, just de-tuned.
The tune will result in the same output as you have deduced.

The first 3 letters of the 4 digit VW engine code (from 2009 >) relate to hardware, the last digit relates to the software designation that varies output.

CCZA vs CCZB = exactly same hardware, but one has 125 kw & one has 147kw. so that is what you need to check.

This unfortunately does not carry over 100% to the clutch & gearbox the vehicle is delivered with (and gear / differential ratios), so its very important to take that in consideration if you are contemplating tuning a vehicle

    Hi sharkie and other vdubers!

May I please check with ya if you've changed your intercooler and if you have wise words of advice to pass on?
I'm looking at the eurojet and maybe the apr (if the sale is ~15%?? *gulp*) to fit on my tiggy.

I had thought of the s3 (and found a good US site that'll ship it for under $600AUD incl intercooler (but hoses/pipes will be extra)), but it seems if i want to go k04, the s3 intercooler aint so good after 250kwish??

    Just can't find anyone who's placed a eurojet i/c into a tiguan (2010 2.0tsi 4motion tiptronic).

anyway, any pearls of wisdom would be oh so helpful and much appreciated .

    thanks!

    J.
