    tiguan hand brake

    132TSI. Occasionally my electric hand brake comes on by itself when i come to a stop. has anyone else had this issue, before i go to VW for rectification

    Yes, ...when I turn ON the "Autohold" button.
    Make sure yours is not "ON"

    I'll echo this!
    I don't normally activate mine but when i do i forget it some times and it can be a bit confusing.

    i always leave mine off. it's just too sensitive! even on the smallest angled slope..

    the golf 6 dsg autohold is better, less sensitive and does the auto hold on a real slope.

    Someone asked me about this - said it always put the handbrake on when she went to reverse park. Didn't take long to work out it was because she takes off the seatbelt to reverse.
