Adam, 2 things you have to watch using Golf based coilovers in a Tig.
1: Spring rate is way, way different. essentially you need springs that cater for an extra 300kg's split between front & rear, and then of course, that spring rate will be way outside the damping characteristics the shocks will be set for (unable to control the spring rate). The other is rear shock / spring length when lowering down.
2: There is in effect a 40 mm "chassis rail" that runs under the Tiguan front to rear, when you lower, your rear driveshafts come close to this & can rub.
