    Tiguan boot liner

Looking at getting a boot liner for my tiggy.
Options are $180 rubber volkswagen, $500 plastic tub volkswagen, or $135 rubber ebay item.

Not wanting to fork out $500, I am interested in the rubber one. My use is protection of the boot from every day use and accidential spillage. Not needing anyting for a dirty dog or equipment or anything like that.

The fellow at the volkswagen shop did not have any in stock, but said that the lip on the volkswagan rubber one was not capable of stopping any spillage. From the look of the web site, it looks to be 2cm at least and would suit my purpose. The ebay item also appears to have a 2-4cm lip on it.

Anyone has anything similar and could comment on use?

    thanks

I chose to go with a carpet cargo mat instead of a rubber cargo liner. I'm very happy with it …a little scotchguard and Bob's your uncle. I bought Australian, through eBay. Custom Carmats is the company and they're based in Melbourne. I know that it's comparing apples with oranges but as far as their car mats go, they are of great quality and fit perfectly. If you order through Custom Carmats's website, you can order several items for a flat rate of $12.50 delivery anywhere in Australia.

Here's the eBay link for their rubber boot liner:

I got a rubber one from the dealer last Friday for a $140 dollars. Fits like a glove.

sammy_s, it would be fine for the usage you described, as well as any minor spills.

I got one too from a dealer for $112. They offered me a discount on it without even asking.

If you don't mind me asking which dealer did you get the boot liner through. My dealer in Sydney quoted 213 plus gst.

I got one of these puppies and I'm very happy with it. I'm assuming the VW dealers are bringing the prices down to match close to these guys.

Im in Perth so very limited dealer choice. I cant even see it before I buy as he has to order it in and wont order unless I buy upfront, hence, the ebay item and the dealer are on a level playing field at the moment.

If I could find one for $112, the dealer mat would win hands down, wonder if east coast dealers would ship over here....

I'm from Perth and was hunting around on ebay for a boot liner found one for $99 and then found out that their warehouse was in perth so gave them a quick call and they were happy for me to come down and take a look before buying it. Have had it almost a year now and still looking brand new and has held its fair share of muddy/sandy boots and salty wetsuits. Plus on one occasion with my spirited driving lead to an esky full of ice toppling over, thankfully due to the high walls of the liner held majority of the water. So definitely glad i didnt opt for the dealer options.

They are located in Carlise and are called Matcraft.
