    Tiguan Body Kit

Has anyone got the Factory / Dealer fitted body kit on their Tig? I noticed on the official VW aust website under the accesories section that it is "not yet available".

I have seen one fitted with it at a dealer, and thought it looked good...

    Any thoughts?

Haven't got it purely because the cost for an aesthetic only mod was prohibitive.

I would only want the track and field kit for softroad use rather than the Aus delivered bodykit.

I quite like the bodykit, apart from the fender flare. The aluminium accent on the front bumper looks the business. I'm pretty sure the cost will be prohibitive.

I like the aluminium accent, but it's on the track and field front as well, hence why i like that one more.
Just waiting on the US guys to try fitting it before i look at that path though.

The cost would be similar to APR stage 1 or 2 which is much more useable imho.

Agree!! I think i'll go for a 'sleeper' look for the Tig.

I agree that the APR is a must. I do like the 'tougher' look of the bodykit though...
Ah...to convince the good wife that I NEED both the APR and the Bodykit...

here is a link for one on carsales.com.au that has the kit fitted:

Off topic I saw a Q5 with the Sports (offroad) kit looked absolutely wicked, I think this would enhance the Tiguans styling

    OK...ready for this guys??

I finally heard back from Barloworld todya re the price for this bodykit...

Would you all believe me if I said: $5,200 for the kit...PLUS painting...PLUS...fitting...

Now I know that one has to spend money for quality, but that seems a little over the top?

    Love to hear your thoughts.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

    That is rediculous.
I was going to enquire about a possible retrofit of the "track and field" front end but i won't bother now.

$5200 can get you a pretty decent second hand car now.

Mate that's why they don't push it when they sell you Tig. I asked my dealer too when we were buying and he quoted similar price, when he rang me later.
