Bit of nice shiny stuff for anyone that's interested (I like the chrome side trims - have a set coming. Too much black with the plastic skirts IMO)

Is there a way to convert halogen to Bi-Xenons? Does anyone know where to get a set or who can install Bi-Xenons into a halogen?

A new V-Dubber!!!!
Hi team_v!
I see a lot of your posts in this forum so it makes me feel looked after having read ur reply! Cheers for that!!
Why is it so expensive to do convert it 'legally'? What do u mean by 'legal'? I'm always impressed by how much information u n many regulars here have abt cars! Someone I met recently told me that it is not a simple plug n play because of the auto-leveling motors in the Bi-Xenons.. Change of Vagcom codes etc... :S
Where do I look for lowering spring posts? I am a new Dubber. Getting my first VW soon. Put a deposit for a Candy White Tig 2011!!! Prefer the look of the prev model after seeing the new face lifted model - no offense to anyone who got the new 2012 model at all!! Just a personal preference.thinking of changing wheels n lowering it.
Wondering how much ride comfort is sacrificed between a 19" vs a 20" wheel w the lowering suspension. I have read that H&Rs are a popular brand in this forum for Tigs. However I have called someone in Singapore abt H&R lowering springs, n he said a number of his customers had returned to him w the H&R springs n said that ur ride comfort was sacrificed way too much that it became very uncomfortable - not jus from Audi S4 n S5 owners but also from Q5 owners.

To fit Bi-xenon's legally you need to have the self levelling system and headlight washers installed as well.
So you would be up for around 1k for the lights, plus extra for all the other bits.
Then you need to get an auto electirician to build a new wiring harness for the Bi-xenon's since the halogen lights use differente wiring.
Then you have to get the car coded via vagcom to recognise the new lights.
For springs you can't really beat ecstuning with the current exchange rate.
I would say that 19's would be the limit of comfort for me.
I noticed the change going from the stock 16's where a lot of the bumps are transferred through to the cabin.
Sharkie and Clip had H&R springs in their Tig's and had some interesting views on them.
I thikn Sharkie actually had his up for sale as well?
Yeah, I ended up with Clip's springs. I'm really happy with them and won't go back to stocks - in fact the family is happy with them! My wife suffers from car sickness and especially dislikes soft plushy suspension (i.e. Falcons and Commodores etc) so the slightly rougher ride helps out. I find that the H&R springs are a good compromise between handling and comfort, although I am thinking of getting an anti-lift kit att some stage...
In terms of lowering you get between 35mm and 40 mm front and rear, although my nudge bar seemed to drag the nose down an extra 5mm
EDIT: I also drive a lot on country (dirt and crappy pot-hole ridden stuff) as well as city roads and am happy to report that they are great all round!
