A few have looked into it but it is prohibitively expensive. Just to get all the plastic parts will set you back $2.5-$3k then painting plus fitting is about $5k all up. Much cheaper to buy from the factory as an option.

As Tigger73 said is much cheaper to get it as factory but otherwise could have got the ABT kit as an option.

I actually prefer the R-line kit over the ABT. R-line looks OEM (because it is) whereas the ABT has always looked like a kit car with bolt on plastics.

I have the flared guards on my 155 but they are the same grey plastic as all of the other lower trims. This lets you run wider/more aggressive offset wheels. I would only get them to keep yourself legal otherwise they will make stock wheels look like they are running a long way in-board.

    Yep!
Got the Supaloy's and the HP sway bars fitted last week.
    My verdict...
cornering = brilliant (especially whilst accelerating in the corner, or out of a round-about etc)
The steering generally is a heck more responsive.

    Are they worth the total cost? Sways - $475 + 475 + LCA's $750 + Labour etc $1900-ish
I think it makes the Tiguan feel like it should.. I always felt like the steering and a bit too much of a sponge feel to it, but that's just my opinion.
I think it's well worth the investment if you 'drive' the Tig - which if you've gone to Stage II - one would assume

Just makes handling that 2 Tonne baby a much simpler and enjoyable task.

From your sig block Evilz it looks like weve got a pretty similar setup, would like to know what you think of the GFB DV+ and what have you used the ABT kit for? (i'll go looking for your build thread now)

Unfortunately I'm down in Canberra (with the car) at the moment. But if you're down this way ... Sure!

    Hey TIGR,

Form your earlier post "Does anyone get a 'chirp' or what sounds like a quiet beep when accelerating hard.. (like foot flat)?" I did experience the same noticeable "Chirp" sound as well. My best guesses is, it could be the stock engine mount is too soft. Given that the ECU and DSG been tuned for more responsive and output. I was actually looking into getting the HP engine mount first then the sway bar and lower control arms. Do you still have that Chrip sound when u foot flat on the accelerator?

Indeed, we do have a very similar setup! lol As i believe that would be the best way to do so, given that i have a 5 months old baby at home now, the "Me time" become very precious and extremely limited.

GFB DV+, in my opinion is surely a more substantial item than than the stock one. Other than that it have a better acoustic respond on the throttle, but don't think it does much on the performance. This is the first thing i installed together with the APR intake kit and i couldn't notice much of a different.

With the APR intake kit, i did find that its extremely hard to fit in and screw on the 90 degree plate to secure the air-box. I think its because i also had the front bracket on for the connection between the air-box to the front panel. At the end i didn't put it on and it's actually pretty secured anyway. Did you come across the same issue as well?

The ABT kit is just there to make it seem more sportier for me , given that the Tig R can only have the front grill and exhaust (without rear skirt) installed. In performance wise, the quad exhaust is 76 mm in diameter and it does make the engine feel much smoother with the breathing on low end and spool up faster in respond on high end. Also it does give it a great acoustic performance sound.

The only think i highly recommend would be LED door warning light to be installed. For me it does make it much safer for the family to come out of the car in the dark. Plus it doesn't take long to install and wire it up, and of course you will need to activate it with VCDS.

Lastly, did you end up installing the APR turbo muffler delete? I'm very curious if it actually does much of a different in the performance wise......

Yes, I still get the chirp when i'm foot flat. I'll ask about the mounts.

Thanks for the info re:ABT kit, im assuming you've bought the Rear Skirt Set and the Exhaust? Im just looking at the ABT website and most of the kit options look similar to the R-Line stuff anyway? Keen to know which pieces you've got, and what they look like

I havent installed the turbo muffler delete, mainly because im looking at going K04
