Well it's going to be a little longer before they're on the car.

Went to get them fitted this morning and ran into a couple of minor problems - my studs were way too short and the centre bore on the rims are too large for my hubs.

So I'm going to have to find some longer studs and also a set of centering rings.

Anyway here's a photo with tyres fitted...

A nice looking rim, tigger73... Must be a trying time for you! They will look fantastic once you get it sorted!

Just out of interest, what sort of scope is there for different rubber widths on a set wheel width? I'm running 245 wide on my 8 1/2 wide rims & was wondering if i could get 255 wide on them?

Yes as they say first world problems.

I'm pretty sure you'd be able to fit 255 width on a 8.5 rim. Most tyres will fit on a range of rim sizes. A decent tyre shop shpuiold be able to tell you what size tyres you can fit on a 8.5 rim.

I think 255 is the largest you can go on 8.5 (not recommended on 8's), though I think for that width tyre a 9" width rim is "optimal".

The nice thing about running 245/45 is that you have a little more sidewall than 255/40 and it's closer to the rolling diameter of some of the other standard tyre sizes (255/40 is a little smaller than most of the other sizes).

Wheels are still not on the car!

The Bridgestone place that fitted the tyres couldn't find any stud bolts or hub rings to fit... so I picked up the wheels and took them to another wheel place to get the parts machined up.

Moral of the story is if you're going to buy OZ Racing wheels then make sure they come with the fitting kit!

Hopefully they will be on the car by next weekend.

+1 on that. Still waiting on the hub rings to get machined up. I think the wheel place are sick of me calling...

Still no news on the hub rings, however I did hear some good news today that the VAR Tig exhaust systems should be landing very shortly.

Hoping for some nice DSG farts...

That is the cat-back version right?
    Should be interesting to hear.

Can you please get some stock cat-back and var cat back videos for comparison?

    Shame about the hub rings.
I made sure when i got my enkeis that the guy packed hub rings suitable, otherwise i would have waited an age to get them fitted.
