Yes Adam I probably should have ticked the box when I got the DSG tune. I didn't know it was going to cause so many issues

I'm still a little puzzled at the results though as I was expecting a bit more given the improvement in the 0-100 time. I'll just put it down to dyno recalibration and be happy with the relative results. Level pegging with a stock Golf R is not bad. Plus I'd have much better low end response.

I'm not planning any major changes from now on - a couple of minor tweaks and that's it!

I don't think the numbers tell the full story here. Haven driven stock Rs and your Tig, I reckon yours is way ahead in general responsiveness and driveability. An R might be a 10th or 2 quicker to 100 if doing a launch control start (I've seen 5.3 quoted often for a stock R DSG), but under any other conditions you'll be ahead. And you're driving a Tig - the ultimate sleeper.

Thanks Adam - interested to see what effect a non-pancake turbo outlet pipe makes in terms of turbo spool/low end response. And talking about sleepers maybe I should put my stock cat-back back on....

On a related note I heard a brand new Mk7 Golf R today and it sounded awesome - even under light throttle.

No full manual mode for the DQ500 unfortunately, also save your cash on the pancake pipe, it won't spool any faster, just makes your wallet more empty.

    Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2's in 245/40R19. Can't remember the load/speed rating - possibly 98Y but it's more than what's min. spec.

I'm dropping a profile size this time. Previously was running 245/45R19 but decided to see how these go as they are a common "Commodore" size.

Speedo will read slightly slower than the 245/45's now due to a smaller sidewall.
    Just so you are aware.

Still for the price those 245/40's were a steal!

Yes I'm aware that the speedo will be slower with the 245/40's. The 245/45's are slightly too big and so actual speed was slightly faster than stock standard. I'm hoping that my speedo will read correctly now with slightly smaller tyres on.

The "correct" size is 255/40R19 but that assumes you're running the 19x9 Savannahs. As my rims are only 19x8 I wouldn't put the 255's on which leaves me with option of either 245/45 or 245/40. So now I will have tried both

I'll be interested to see if it has any noticeable effect on the 0-100 time....

And couldn't go past them for the price either!
