A couple of pics for you Lucas

Note I'm not quite as OCD as some when it comes to the engine bay

I do a bit of dirt road driving occasionally so it's regularly getting messed up.

Cheers - i was interested to see how it looked compared to the one i have (also a VAR shroud). Yours appears to be the same/similar overall shape, but i can see yours has some pop rivets on the top for something, also also a bracket where the air filter pipe enters the shroud. So it's a bit different.

The Tig must have more room in the engine bay too, as my shroud sits much closer to the batter and fuse box area (almost touches them) on my car.

Is yours running that blue coloured air filter?

You need to get yourself an R8 oil cap to finish off that engine bay

The carbon shroud that is currently on my car is an earlier development unit - hence the reason for pop rivets and the extra bracketing.

It's not as large as the production ones. Here's a couple of photos of the unit I had on a little while back:

The only good thing about the "old" unit is that I can still get access to my washer bottle filler easily.

Should have asked this before. How much would pedders charge for installing the WALK?

Best to ask your local guy. It's not a big job up on the hoist and 3 bolts each side. I'm not sure I would go Whiteline as the housing doesn't bolt up fantastically. I know Tiggy1 used some push on bushings with the stock housings. If I was to do it again I'd probably go this way but then you do end up destroying your stock bushing getting it out. So I guess it's line-ball if you intend reverting back to stock after - probably Whiteline is better in this case.

Thanks for that. I'll speak with the local pedders guy later and see how that pans out.

    Hey mate,

I'm just about to purchase a whiteline rear sway bar and was wondering what you used in terms of size and stiffness setting?

I was thinking the 22 but not sure what the stock bar is and if the 22 will be enough.

I just want to eliminate high speed cornering body roll, but don't want to roughen the ride at all.

    Thanks!

    Alex

    Sorry Tig!

I seem to have asked the exact same question in your other thread. My bad.

No problem. Looks like you found the info. Was just going to refer you to this thread anyway

So yes probably suggest the 22mm if you're just doing the rears but that's only my suggestion. I don't think the cost is that much different between 22 and 24mm sway bars. Will have to look again but there's possibly adjustable settings???

Both have adjustable settings and cost difference is only like 10-15bucks retail. GSL Rally has a promo now ending tonight selling these for just over 200 with the price difference between the two only a few bucks. But I want a more balanced feel so I'm putting the 22mm.

Apparently Whiteline is moving their production from Korean to Florida USA.
