better because it will get a very good fuel consumption while towing compared to TSI in the same situation.
better because.? Sorry transporter but doesn't that conflict with your own rider above on driving mix - dont think it changes with towing. Also remapped, the TSI has so much extra in reserve, it would be interesting to see what the difference in fuel economy would actually be.

I'm not saying the TSI would be better, but the gap may narrow further in hwy/mixed driving conditions.

no, not me. There are a few others around here on the nth coast.

on the XR8, that must have brought a smile to your dial and I wouldn't doubt it, the turbo six in the falcon is a much better motor if reviews are anything to go by. On almost any measure be it Get up and go, fuel economy, flexibility etc, there is nothing it doesn't do better.

Don't get me wrong jim, a new XR6 Turbo would eat the Tig, I'm only talking stock XR6's, not turbo's! I wouldn't get anywhere near an XR6 turbo! Sharkie might with his mods, but not mine. A new R20 Golf with a remap just might though!

AWD and decent power will beat RWD and lots of power quite easily ..... XR6Ts have a problem putting all that power down on the road, so they are fair game for APR Tigs off the line ....

    Rolling runs are a different story though .... a XR6T is quicker 80-120km/h than a 911 Turbo !!!!!!

The only company that can build RWD cars (road cars, not super cars) that stick from the factory is BMW ..... 135i will do 0-100 in 5.4s with no sweat at all ....

The Forrester came in 2nd behing the Tig for me...I just wanted all the options I got on the Tig and I really wanted the Park Assist. In the end the Tig came in under $51k with Comfort pack, Park Assist, moonroof, leather, mats, auto. Also think the Forrester looked more boxy and dated, the sunroof is tiny, and there are a lot on the road. Couldn't be happier with the Tig...
