Spot on mate... come to think of it a lot of Euro cars are "chick cars".

If someone feels that his masculinity is threatened by the car he drives he should get a Hummer. Nothing tells people you are man more than American muscle! Oh wait... I think it's Chinese now.

2010 Tiguan 147TSI - Deep Black, Black Leather, Panoramic Sunroof

    Goes anywhere you can imagine.

    lol,

But that reminds of an american guy that was going out with my niece a few years ago and we were talking about all the jeep wranglers coming out here at the time and how many young guys were buying them because they looked tough and were priced OK. According to him though, in the States those Wranglers are the favourite vehicle of choice by the men that prefer the comapny of other men!

I originally intended on buying an XT forester, but looked at the tig instead. The build quality alone, as well as the on-road feel made my choice easy...(for the tig of course).
The forester is OK, but the Tiguan feeels like a much more expensive car. All of this is my opinion only of course. You need to see how you all feeel about the car.
I think you can do much better on that pricing though. Try a dealer who really wants to do business, and I'm sure you will be happy.

I had a good look today at the new Forester before I take Tiguan TDI auto for the test drive on Friday. I have to admit that the interior in the current Forester looks very outdated and equipment level is not in the same league as in the Tiguan.
IMHO Hyundai ix35 diesel is much better equipped and more pleasant cabin to seat in. What would scare me in ix35 is small 45kg heavy (very light) and very small 6-speed auto transmission developed by Hyundai that is mated to 2.0L Diesel engine with 135kW and 395Nm torque. Is the Hyundai taking the gamble with that A/T when they put 5 years unlimited km warranty on the car? Will road test ix35 tomorrow. will let you know.

P.S I'm not really serious with the ix35 only curious how that 135kW/395Nm engine goes.

Sure will and this time I let my wife decide which one she wants. I driven Golf6TSI for a half a day and prefer 2.0LTDI in hilly areas much better up the hill in traffic, probably different story on open roads.
