Wash the car again (or the places you want to buff off) to remove any dust from, and buff it off. I did the same mistake and listen to the instructions the product came with and it was hard work to buff it, could see the spots following day we missed.

I don't think that it will come off with regular washes (at least in reasonable time).

Thanks transporter, will do. I thought I was following the directions by waiting the maximum time of 20 minutes.

I've applied the Nanolex urban glass today. My procedure was as follows:

1. Clean all glass with stoners glass cleaner.
2. Apply Nanolex glass cleaner.
3. Apply Nanolex urban glass.
4. Buff off.
5. Repeated steps 3 and 4 again.

Overall I found the Nanolex urban glass a very easy product to use, easier then the paint protection. The included lint free cloths were excellent.

I applied the Nanolex in my garage. On the second application I heard my friendly cleaner coming along with a blower (I live in a unit block). I hurriedly did I quick buff and closed the garage. I hope I missed all the dust he blew around before giving it a final buff.

Can't wait to see the Nanolex in action! I'll try and post a video when it next rains.

Best bet is to apply the nanolex stuff in the shade if you can as if the car is warm/in the sun it dries and is hard to buff off.

Could be worse, i had sawdust all over mine the other day after it rained, my car turned a weird brown colour but it all washed off lol.

Should've done this first whilst wheels were relatively clean and brand new!

It's a real b!tch to remove the brake dust and have the wheels absolutely cleaned enough to apply the Nanolex.

The longer you leave the more effort is required (if you want it applied properly and with maximum effect)!


Also have to decide whether you're gonna be anal enough to prep and coat the inside of the wheel?

Definitely going to the inside of the wheel. Problem is how time consuming it will be, hence my procrastination on this task. That said, I'll get it done ASAP. Thanks for your advice.

This is a re-post from the RN510 thread as I still need an answer please.

Question to the wise. I have the factory fitted RNS510 and have copied via SD card my music collection. I converted it to mp3 format prior to doing this. The music plays however, each time I open a folder to play it, it states words to the effect "can't read file". It then proceeds to cycle through each song before it plays normally.

I can stop the car and resume playing from the same folder and this process does not occur. However, the same process occurs again when I go to a new folder. How can I fix this?

I apologise if this has been covered before.

Sorry i can't help with this one.
I just have it all stored in teh root directory of the SD card and it works fine from there.

What bit rate did you use when you converted your files? Do you have the ownér's manual for the RNS510? if not you can download it from the Skoda portal, the link is in the Skoda section (the radio is called Columbus but it is the RNS510).
