Thanks. But I buy only with cash and you can negotiate I just told them what I was willing to pay ,I started off originally going to buy the runout model. But the dealer only offered me $12,000 for my golf. Gt. Even though he dropped the price. I was still up for $30,500 but I decided to sell on carsales for $15,500. And I sold the car in two days for $15,000 so vw actually did me a favor I gained an extra$2,500

Well the 130TDI in the Passat has 130kW/380Nm and I'm guessing that engine in the 130TDI Tig will have the same specs.

If you compare that to the MY14 103TDI (103kW/320Nm), it's a nice 25% increase in power and around +20% torque.

It also has 100Nm more torque than either of the petrol models which top out at 280Nm.

The 130TDI Tig should be a really nice car to drive. This engine in the Passat is a very popular choice.

Nice buy, im pondering the TDI ($39,990) vs Pet 155TSI ($44,990)

extras for the 130TDI are $2500 RNS510 sat nav
    $3500 Vienna leather
    $2500 R line package

Both add $2000 for sunroof and $700 for metallic paint etc. privilege!

so in a nutshell $3500 more for TDI vs Petrol

mmm which power plant would the forum suggest? Especially after my recent DPF issue with such low mileage.

    cheers

Well, if you want all the fruit, the petrol is no brainier. Especially if you've had issues with your existing TDI

BTW who has had problems with the TSI 155kw power plant!

love our Audi Q5 and VW Tiguan but I've just learnt my first lesson of European car servicing. Not that I will go back to my Subaru but in 15 years not 1 issue with 4 brand new hotted up XT/GT Foresters!
