    Storage space

So i had an expereince this week.
Had to get 3 people plus a lawnmower plus a 42" lcd tv from one house to another 20 minutes away.

I am pleased to say the tiguan handled this with ease!
2 passengers up front and another in teh single rear seat.
The other 2 rear seats were slid forward to allow the lawnmower in the boot and the tv was seatbelted onto these seats.

    Hi Captain_v

Just interested in that rubber paint you used for the grille, I am thinking of getting some painting done on my wheels, however I want to be sure of what it will look like before I fully commit. How easy is it to peel off and does it work ok with masking? Basically I am am intending to do a trial run first and then commit to to the full professional job if it looks ok.

I am going to touch up the new York alloys by painting them black with the exception of the outward facing machined alloy...

    Hi team_v

New to the forum as I have only just recently ordered a 125 Tig and stumbled across VWW, but I wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading through your thread.

Its great to see how far you have taken your Tiguan, the mods & tunes you have added and how muh enjoyment you get out of it.

Based on your posts, there are some immediate changes I'll be making to my Tig when it gets off the boat and eventually get it booked in for an APR Stage1 - Guy should be sending some commision your way as Im sure I am not the only one to have made the same decision based on this thread.

Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading about any other changes you may have in mind

Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, was out of the country for 3 weeks.
Plastidip is easy to apply to a broad area but doing a specific area of the wheels may be difficult.
You would probably be best to get a painter/wheel repair person to do it.

The plastidip peels off easily enough from test strips that i have done.

    Thanks for the kind words.
Hopefully you enjoy your car when it arrives.
The Stg 1 upgrade is definitely a step up but try to break the car in first to get used to it.

    You're welcome mate.

I'm sure we'll get alot of enjoyment out of it!

Have already ordered a box of goodies for some cosmetic mods when it finally arrives (Yes, it has already begun)

And I might do the ECU & Air Inatke at the same time. Hey, if it's in the shop I may as well get my money's worth

Just finished washing and sealing the sucker.
All up around 1hr 45 minutes to do.
Looks sparkly and new again, the colour really pops in the sunlight.

Took the Tig for a test run through the scenic Rim path we are using for the Tig cruise.
Handled beautifully, no loss of traction, no stumbling with low power.
The increased torque and power from the stage 2 tune are noticeable in that i was cruising up the range in 5th gear for most of the trip, only on sharp bends or bends with a hill following did i drop to 4th (3rd on 3 occasions)

Taking the corners a bit overzealously lets you see the bodyrol in the tig but it is minimal compared to any other CUV/SUV.
A rear sway bar would be agood investment if you were doing spirited mountain runs frequently.

Hoping to get some good pics in teh next few weeks.

Also ordered my interior bulbs today so I should get them next week.

May I ask where you pocked them up from? I'm keen to do this as a project also along with the City Lights.

Looking on ECS they seem quite $$$ for interior LED's
