Also stage 2 software...........Is that a special tune they've done taking into account the modifications or just the next level in the pre-programmed APR software?

Thanks for the information in advance, i'm just waiting for another APR sale
For the intake, all i got according to the receipt was the APR Carbon Airbox TSI.
I believe it also requires a mounting bracket to match up to the slats in the top of the grill.
Best bet would be to contact your local APR person and let them know you are just after the intake and it's for a tig so requires the mounting bracket.
The piping isn't necessary and haven't heard about the breather filter.

The stage 2 software is designed to account for the increased air flow from the intake and downpipe.
Apparently it also spools the turbo up earlier which gives you power all the way up to the red.

You could use the Golf R style downpipe (originally developed that design for the S3 / A3 Quattro), but with the engine sitting lower in the Tiguan, we managed to get a one piece design into the Tiguan - mainly to reduce costs. performance is pretty similar on both.

There are internal differences for the wastegate sizes between the K03 & K04 versions of the downpipe. The wastegate separator (on the divorced wastegate style) has to hug the profile tight of you lose some of the benefit of splitting the different speed gasses.

Slight update on some tech for you guys.

Had the opportunity to put the tig through it's paces in the wet earlier this week.
The 4Mo is almost instinctive and barely let go at all, I only had it slip for a second when i was really pushing it but then it composed itself and regained control.

I attempted to increase the light coming from the miniscule reversing lights.
This is not going to be an easy task, VW manual says they are hyper long life bulbs and shouldbn't need replacing so they don't tell you how to do it.
The manual says if they do need replacing take it to your dealer as the rear bumper has to be removed.

Also was wondering about adding some resistor loaded LED's to the interior roof lighting.
VW manual doesn't even tell you how to change those bulbs.

Not sure if i posted this previously but the strut-flip mod for the mk6 golf auto opening hatch when the button is held doesn't work.
There is a second catch in the boot latch that requires you to pull the door up.

Also, apparently you can retrofit flappy paddle steering wheels to the Tiguan with conventional auto's (not sure if DSG ones come with it)
There is a thread on vortex about it which may interest some of you.

Hmm if the DSG can be retrofitted from say a GTI steering wheels, i'll be very2 interested. With red stitching....yumm.... Do you have to buy the steering from dealer or somewhere else?

I believe the dealer will charge you an arm and a leg for the steering wheel.
With the new DSG auto's you should be able to retrofit a steering wheel with flappy paddles to control the gearshifts.
As mine is a manual i don't really know the details on this though so you would have to search around to find guides.

Had the tig out this morning in the wet weather again.
It is an absolute dream to drive, power is put down beautifully (had no slip at all this morning) and it just shoots off.
    It also brakes very well.

So much of a safety upgrade from my 20yo corolla.

I know what you mean, my 17yo hilux, in retrospect, was quite dangerous in the wet & would most likely be considered not roadworthy. Even though the tyres were ok, the brakes were useless on the rear (drums), & with NO weight over the rear wheels...

Yeah the corolla had drums, and even with the driver training I had gone through it was still a bit of a handfull in the wet.

The main selling point of the Tig for me was the 5 star safety rating.
Even when put through it's paces in the wet it handles beautifully.

Okay bit more of an update.

I finally got the Zenec unit working.
Canbus update and software update allowed it to work with the maps.
Maps are really good, more detailed than the RNS maps and more accurate for locations i entered and it even has street names spoken.
Full MFD display works well and even shows distance to the nearest 10m.
Bluetooth paired well with my phone using the inbult microphone.

Also managed to scrape the front right hand side of the car against the garage post :'(
Bit of cut and polish and it came up well, just one small dent and a small paint chip.
Going to try the dry ice dent removal next week.
Assuming the nanolex sealant provided some protection, not sure if this is true or not though.

I reset the trip average fuel consumption for the drive hom this morning.
Drove from from the northside near chemside to the Southside near Carindale playing the fuel economy game except when i was toying with the R34 (non-GTR) that was going the same way.

Managed a low of 6l/100km and a total average of 7.1l/100km.
Pretty decent for Stage 2 to return fuel economy figures that low, however stop start traffic does tend to push it back up into the high 8's or low 9's.

Was going to wash it and apply the nanolex again but it rained all weekend.

Given you have nanolex, do you still use car wash "shampoo" when you wash it or do you just hose it?
