Thanks for the extra info Sharkie.
I knew we had a front mount but it is relatively small compared to the S3 and the APR version.
So i managed to test out the 4Mo system this morning with the wet weather.
Launched pretty hard from teh stop line at the traffic lights, slight wheel spin for an instant, then it kicked in, and i was off like a bullet.
Traffic light stops are pretty bad for wet weather launches from my experience due to the shoddy cars that drop oil on teh road and the white painted lines = no traction.
Also experienced just how good the nanolex paint sealant is.
Came out to the water beading on the car and it just ran off when i accelerated or braked hard enough.
Also makes light work of cleaning the brake dust off the wheels.
Dollar is dangerously close to 90 US cents so springs should be ordered when we hit that benchmark.
Another thing to note that wasn't explained to me earlier:
When the cruise control is activated, the lever on the end of the indicator stalk (used to activate cruise control) will increase or decrease set speed by 1km/h increments.
I didn't read that part in teh manual and wasn't told this by the salesman but still interesting to work out.

Got a call from James at Harding Performance.
Going down for a visit later this afternoon.
Will update with pics late tonight/tomorrow for you all.
Sounds interesting, would like to also see dyno figures, but what does the butt dyno say?
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
So far the only performance bit is the ecu eremap which says 189kw at the wheels.
Will have to take it along toa dyno day when there is one arranged to get it tested properly.
I do know that it is a jeckyl and hyde car.
Below 2.5k RPM it is a daily soccer mum car with soft-road capability.
Over 2.5k it punches you in the spine and rams you forward blindingly quick.
The DGS-7 should be matched quite well to the upgraded power for road use, however it will fail for towing/soft-roading and i fear the mechatronic unit costs so i am happy to have the manual.
Saw James and met Guy for the first time at Harding Performance.
Picked up a new bit of go-fast from them.
Also have the car booked in at Mike Webber's on Tuesday next weekto get the downpipe fitted up and the intake installed.
Great success!! How much is the DP if you don't mine me asking?
2008 VRS Wagon. Yellow, very yellow!
Forever blowing bubbles.
Expensive for DP but they're complex I know. Look forward to your write up![]()
