wow, be keen to see what that looks like fitted up team v!
Alright, that took longer than expected.
Turns out i did it the hard way and lost a few clips in the process.
Should have just sprayed the whole thing instead of trying to take the chrome bits off and do them individually.
I do prefer the black over the chrome, it just adds a bit more stealth.
Used plasti-dip which is essentially an aerosol can of rubber so if i don't like it, i can just peel it off.
wow, be keen to see what that looks like fitted up team v!
It's fitted now mate, just too dark to get any real quality pictures.
I'm away for the weekend so i won't have a chance to get any fitted pictures until Tuesday, sorry
You'll just have to imagine it until then.
Might see if i can get a shot tonight though for a teaser.
Okay dodgy night pictures of the blacked out grill fitted.
I am now wondering what it would have looked like if my Tig was black instead of blue.
The only colour would be the wheels and the slot of red in the tailights.
Oh well, now it looks like my tig got in a fight as it's black and blue.
Dusted a Mk5 GTI on my way home tonight as well.
Looking good. I like the blacked out bits. How are you enjoying the APR tune now that you have had it a bit longer?

Thanks mate.
I was originally going to colour code all the black bits but i like it more with the 2 tone, keep the VW theme more i reckon.
I am getting to enjoy the remap more and more.
The power on tap is unreal and the 4Mo system does well sending it to the road.
1st is unbelivably quick off the line, second pulls like a champ and 3rd is a nice long-ish gear so you can just keep pulling away.
Fuel economy when driven sedately has dropped to the point where my distance to empty actually increased when i was driving it yesterday (480-till empty when i left, drove 20km and it said 500-till empty when i got home)
The engine has a nice deeper note which complements the tubo whistle as they have both increased in volume.
Can't wait to get the Carbonio fitted to hear the induction noise.
Wheels are shipping today, should get them early next week.
Not 100% what i was after but the original wheel supplier's were taking too long.
No hints, you'll just have to wait and see when the pics go up early next week.
Have the day off work so i got some pictures of the tig with all the mods so far.
The new wheels arrived just a few minutes ago so i am going to fit them tomorrow.

Very very nice mate! Gotta say, I like the look all round, and can't wait to see the wheels given your obvious good taste.

Forever blowing bubbles.
Hahah thanks Guys.
Wheels are downstairs, going to take a teaser shot of them next to the car for you.
I have tested them in photoshop and they seem to work well.
Was originally going for VMR V710's but they couldn't organise them in a size i wanted or in a colour or offset.
In the end they even stopped replying to Tim and I (Tim was organising the buy) so i gave up and went another route.
Uprated bulbs arrived yesterday as well and i got car care products from the Chief financial officer for my birthday!
