Finally fitted a superpro HD rear swaybar I found on sale late last year. Tightens up the rear body roll significantly. I feel it will eventually require adjustable links. I found a near new Golf R intercooler, so I have that to install....Then I'll get around to having a DSG tune loaded.

51000kms now, all fresh fluids throughout (engine, awd, dsg, a/c, radiator) & fresh S3 Intercooler installed. Has IE 98ron ecu Stage 2 tune, 3" catted downpipe, k&n pod.

Looking to see where everything is at currently so I (finally) took it in for a run on a Mainline 4wd dyno. 166awkw / 223awhp @4750 in 4th. Running slightly rich but overall pretty healthy. With ~20% drivetrain losses that equates to around 200kw / 267hp at the engine, a bit up from the advertised 132kw / 180hp. Noice. Fun to drive.

Needs tcu tune (will go with TVS stage 2+). Awaiting an engine strut brace to arrive, and need to install turbo muffler delete & intake manifold spacer, plus think about a 2.5" catback system afterwards. Then dyno again. Sweet.

    72,000kms, all going well.
In 2023 I got Laborde Motorsport to flash the TCU to their stage2 Sport settings, and the 7spd DSG has been fantastic since. D-mode gets it wrong on my local hill (should be 4th but wants to go to 6th) but S-mode, with the Passat paddle shift steering wheel, is perfect. Cant fault it, exactly how it should have been from factory.

Just installed a K04 HPA hybrid turbo 2 days ago with the help of a mobile mechanic. Was a hot 39deg day, but got it done. Fits perfectly, however Ive now lost boost reading to my boost gauge. Line comes off the intake manifold. I haven't looked into it yet, just test driving and enjoying the IE Stage 3 K04 tune I flashed on afterwards (eventually, lost signal after the erase procedure so had a fright there that's for sure). The Tiguan is manic now, pulls hard through the gears with wheelspin in 3rd gear. Awaiting an upgraded CTS engine mount to hopefully help a bit.

I'm expecting the 2.0tsi EA888 gen.2 engine should now be north of 330hp, I'll get it onto the dyno soon-ish but first need to do some datalog runs in 3rd on a straight out-of-the-way country road. So far so good.

Wow you haven't held back with the mods. I bet you are loving the HPA K04 turbo upgrade, these engines really sing along with the K04 and with the Tig you have grip in just about all situations. This would be a fun little daily. Have you got any photos showing the car and mods?

Just had a good test drive in the Hills, the K04 is very fun indeed when it comes on boost. So buttery smooth but pulls hard to the redline. In all honesty, it looks dead stock just sits slightly lower on the factory 17" rims, with a slightly wider stance due to the wheel spacers. I'm 6'8", could do with a lower & grippier seat but otherwise it suits me well.
I get bits here and there when on sale etc. and do the work in my carport. Keeps me busy on a project or two. Looking for a set of Tein, Koni sport, or B6 Bilstein shocks next.
But first I'll get it onto a dyno, and then out for a run on the sole drag strip that's just opened in Adelaide (The Bend, SA). Perhaps a track day too.
