My 2 cents on dealer set tyre pressures. Mine were all equal, but in the mid 40s. Well over the specified maximum pressure.

V, you are a classic. I have been reading the whole thread on your Tiggy for the last couple of days. Currently up to Page 45 and enjoying every second. I have ordered the led internal globes, am contemplating removing all of the id badges and have also ordered the nanolex. God knows what else I will find in the remaining six pages.
I will be getting the flash done, it is just a matter of when.

Who knows what the dealers do. I am just pleased I read the forum and new to check on the pressures
Cheers Gentlemen
My 2 cents on dealer set tyre pressures. Mine were all equal, but in the mid 40s. Well over the specified maximum pressure recommended for a non fully laden vehicle with my particular sized tyres on it. Better?
Actually, checking my notes, fronts were 46, rears were 48psi, and I noticed when I was adjusting the pressures the dealer/factory air was very sweet smelling.

Mutare 23, the APR tune i bought around 9 months ago for my '10 Tiggy gave me the ability to switch back to the stock mode at any time using nothing but the cruise control toggles, then lock the ECU in that stock mode so that is the only thing 'visible' when the ECU is accessed by VW diagnostics is the stock fuel/boost/etc maps. Once the ECU is locked, a PIN is needed to 'unlock' for access to the performance tune.

Thanks for this. I am aware of the ability to be able to switch programs and the security code (PIN), it just seems strange to me that the main computer that will be doing the diagnostic work, wouldnt be able to detect over boost, changed fuel use etc. My understanding was that the ECU had a diagnostic support system. Will be more than pleased if nothing of an APR can be flashed, but I reckon computer boffins would be able to locate it.
Thanks again
Cheers
Afraid no time is any different despite what you have been told, some are better than others, but no one is undetectable if the effort is taken to find out. Viezu claim all this undetectability, but as it varies massively from marque to marque, and nothing is undiscoverable to the right prying, best to just say if you are tuned, and the dealer has need to look, they will find out. Reality is they usually don't bother.

Thanks for this. I kind of thought that the dealers wouldnt look too hard unless there was a reason for doing the same. I intend to keep my Tiggy looking very stock, with no indicators of the APR when I have it . Hopefully that will result in no attention from dealers, blue lights or anybody else for that matter.
Cheers
You don't have a Viezu dealer in Syd/ACT as yet, but for the record, some of the major difference I felt in the Viezu tuned Tig was the DSG alterations making it more smooth and responsive, something only Viezu can do from an engine ECU only reprogram at present. Assuming you have DSG of course!
