Some decent lighting for the R-Line

Just had a stellar pair of LED Light Bars fitted to the wife's Tig.
    Why?
For some absurd reason the R-Line 155 does not come with HIDs but conventional halogen bulbs and pretty poor levels of illumination result - only disappointing aspect of this useful little SUV.
Therefore I decided to add a couple of 6" light bars from Rigid Industries akin to those I had fitted to my Audi SQ5 last year.
They are not cheap but they are very, very good, tightly focussed bars and each costs around $300 including brackets and wiring. Low on heat/power but each producing an array of bright LEDs focused via very high quality lenses built into the bar.
Our (fairly) local Auto electrician at Tuggeranong Auto Electrics did another awesome job - making up made to measure rigid brackets to suit, looming it in with the main beam circuit with separate relay and fused power supply with hidden kill switch.
All up a sensational job and night driving is no mystery any more.
The beams we fitted stay focussed beyond 2 km, at which point they are two lanes across.
Highly recommended option for those that do country or high speed driving at night.
For anyone considering this mod I have one brand driving set new in a box 6" SR2 light bar, brackets and loom remaining for sale -

Nice concealed look. Did you fit one or two - on each side of the grille?
You fitted the 6 LED Hyperspot and not the 9 LED SR2?

One 6 inch SR2 Hyperspot unit each side of the centreline - more than enough light.
Had purchased both types (hyper and Drive) and put a combo on our Audi who's lights are far better in the first place and the hypers on the Tiguan noting that I had also put different higher output globes in the Tigs headlamp units as well as fitting the Hyper LEDs.
The Drive 9 LED combo does give a very good all-round in-fill as well as range.
    Horses for courses I guess.
Either way the Rigid Industry product is a class act.
