    Small hose from suspension hole

Hi, this will be my first post so please be kind. I have recently had the infamous knocking / clunking noise from the rear of the car. It seems to come from right rear suspension area. I did a simple inspection on the suspension area and found a small hose dangling from the hole where the suspension is. Anyone know what that hose is? Would like to know if it is safe to drive the car until the mechanics open again? Thanks.

I took a picture of the hose.

    Hi & welcome!

I just had a look at mine & i don't have a hose dangling like that! Had a 'feel' up inside as well & couldn't feel anything... Looks like a drainage hose? Do you have a sun-roof?

Could be the washer fluid supply for the rear window? Does the rear washer work?

    Looks like a sunroof drain.

On second thoughts, unlikely to be the rear washer hose as that would most likely travel up the A-pillar & along the roof somewhere...

The oil's a bit under $100. They'd probably charge you an hour's labour to do it.

Yes I bought some of the special Haldex liquid gold (500ml bottle) from the dealer a year or 2 ago for around $80.

I changed the fluids when I changed Haldex controllers.
