    Should I keep or sell?

    Hi everyone,

First introductory post and I am after some advice.

Unfortunately my mother passed away and I have received her 2015 Tiguan R-Line.

I was with her when she brought it brand new and it's always been serviced by a VW dealer.

It has 80,000 kms and drives perfectly..a few scuff marks here and there but otherwise perfect....a typical little old lady driving to the shops and back car!

I'd love to keep it as it really drives nice and I'd also like to get a tune or more done to it.

Can anyone see why I should not keep it? Too many km's? Age?

I think I should get an inspection done by a reputable shop who could also advise me on an APR upgrade and the risks involved.

If anyone in Melbourne could suggest a shop then that'd be appreciated. I am located in Wantirna but happy to travel.

Looking forward to perusing the forum and hearing some replies.

    Kind regards,

    Alex

Keep it - 155Kw and 280NM is a great starting point, 80k is barely run in. Definiately get a tune. Go to Audvolks in Clayton for check and advice re tuning options.

If you are looking for one, the reason not to keep it, is if it hasn’t already suffered the trio of failures many Tiguans (and Volkswagens) experience - namely, mechatronic, water pump and air conditioning compressor failure. Each can cost $1000 to 3000 to fix, so there is that cost to consider.

So I took the Tiguan to Audvolks as recommended by Gerhard above. Had the waterpump replaced and transmission oil leak rectified. I was told to return about 500kms later to inspect and everything is bone dry. I am very happy and it's a great result. I ended up also putting in an Alpine Halo 11 and I've got a great car. Next in line is an ecotune.
