If you had oil and filter change at 7500km by qualified mechanic or dealer, then you have nothing to worry about as long as you have a record of it. You can reset that message yourself. http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...tml#post783389
If someone could assist please.
My Tig tdi is giving me notice every time I start up."service now'.The tig has only just done 9700klms and I am aware there is also a time factor thrown in along with klms travelled. In my case I havent done the k's but obviously it has breached the time limit.
Will this be obvious to a dealer when they do get to do the 15000klm service and in noting same will it be a threat to my ongoing warranty.I have already had an oil change at 7500klms and I dont feel the car requires any more servicing til it has done the full 15000klm.I am just not out and about enough to rack up 15000klms in a bit less than 12 months.
Any ideas fellas as to where I stand if and when there is a warranty issue.
Phil.

If your annual mileage is 10,000 km, you could've easily waited until then. A bit pointless changing it at 7,500 km otherwise.
As for the warranty, I think you'll be okay. The dealer probably doesn't care if your car is due for a service or not.
Having said that, it's not hard for VW to figure out (if required) when each car needs to be serviced. As long as they have on record the date you took possession of the car, they can just go on from there.
