Cut my thumb open when I tried to modify the plug for the taillight......................................... ...........

Okay... I have let my thumb to rest for a night... and hand's itchy again!

Conversion is easy enough (except for my injury .. anyway), just need to trim the extra bit out on each plug. piece of advice is to get heavy duty cutter/blade to do the job... or else ... like me!

No need to do any coding, basically plug and play, no flickering nothing! Only dilemma is the rear fog light seems not working and I am getting globe error.

However... I think it worth million dollars!!

Nice work!

It may well be an issue with the adapters. If they're adapters for LHD car they'll have the fogs connected on the other side. Could you have put the adapter in the wrong side??? The fogs change side for LHD and RHD cars I'm pretty sure.

Now the real question is when was the last time you used your foglights? To be honest I don't think I've used them in 10 years so not really an issue for most people who live on the coast.

I'm thinking of doing this mod to my wife's new 155TSI... so when you get yours sorted let us know

This is the RHD version of the tail... and I could see the light inside the right inner cluster.

I dont use them... havent got it in my scirocco neither ......... Just that globe error would irritate me...........

Yeah though didn't these come with adapters? Perhaps the adapters aren't wired correctly.

I can understand having a globe out warning is not a great thing...

Don't know much about LED tail lights for the Tiguan but I am sure the Golf 6 owners had to recode their Byte 13 or 18 in their BCM to get them to work correctly. May be worth the while to ask the question on the Ross Tech Forum

I got my replacement Hella tails from overseas and they throw a fog light error code as well.
Didn't come with adaptors though.
Also didn't option fog lights from the factory.
