Unfortunately at the moment their units for the Tig are limited to licence plate, boot, vanity, footwell & glove box applications only.

But I think glove box is a bit of an overkill, even for someone like me with an obsessive compulsive with having everything matching.

They're a complete replacement bulb & casing unit. Not just the bulbs and @ $25USD a pop approximately, for each application.

But I think they're worth it!

Have ordered the footwell and waiting for delivery.

Re the spotlights.I had the Lightforce 170's on my previous car.Damn good light and not heavy. They are made in Australia and not really hard to wire up.There is a mob called Mr Spotlights and their prices seem quite reasonable.Look them up on the web.If you decide to go for the h.i.d versions they will cost you considerably more.

Ok ... speak of the devil, look what arrived today?

First thing I noticed on the box ... it appears that we share the same part with a Lambo as well.

Now I know that I've been raving on about this mob and their LEDs.

But definitely the pictures you're about to see speak for themselves.

Firstly, I took one of my existing footwell LED (including casing) and swapped it into the glovebox:

These weren't bad quality LEDs sold on eBay as error-free T10 parkers for $15 a pair.
Made a huge improvement to the glovebox area!

However ... now pictured below is this very same footwell LED (moved to the glovebox) compared to the new footwell LED received today:

Now we're fcuking talking night vs day (by comparison)!

Not only in terms of output, but no blue tinge that you find with most other LED bulbs (regardless of price)!

NOTE: I don't think they are 7000K (as label on the box suggests). Based on the colour it's more like 5000K!

Now ... I have one spare LED footwell lamp leftover after applying the other to the glove box area (pictured above).

I'm prepared to give this leftover "$15 a pair" LED to someone in Sydney only. Unless you are prepared to pay for my shipping also for the freebie.

However, it's much easier to swap the entire unit (bulb + casing intact), as the casing is a bit of b!tch to open and I really couldn't be bothered to do it again to get the LED out!

So the first person to PM me and prepared to handover their existing glove box light unit (i.e. bulb + casing) will score the LED!

Any tips on how to get to the rear backup lights to replace them as in the OP?

The question I have is when you put them in the footwell like you have done, are they still dimmable via the MDI? Most LEDS don't dim.

55w bulbs that fit right into the original bracket (well, at least on my Jetta) was a significant update for both reverse and fog lamps. I bought mine at Autobarn for around $25.

Aussietig, did you use a robot to position & point the camera in those 2 comparo-photo's above? They're identical, apart from the brightness!!

    Good question!

TBH, I haven't tried with these ones as I just leave them @ 100%.

Will get back to you tomorrow on this one, when I get in the car.

In terms of other interior lights, they only have the vanity mirror ones!

Coincidentally, waiting for these to arrive and can post comparison photos of them too (later).

But at the moment, my interior looks pretty good as is, running Blesk LEDs (front and back).

P.S. Blesk 6000K D1S out the front also!
