A lot cleaner and neater in my mind!

But yeah, fingers crossed no future need to reboot BT unit.

Took a bit of effort to make room for it, with all connectors and harness pushed to the left hand side and directly behind the glove box area.

But it is physically possible to fit module directly behind the climatronic!

Do need to remove the trim around it, but don't have to remove the climatronic itself.
Only clips and one screw holds the surrounding climatronic trim which is concealed behind the anti-slip mat, in the storage hole.

Unlike in the Golfs where there's so much room that cable ties are needed to prevent the module moving around and rattling, it's very snug and won't move in the Tig. Well certainly in my MY11.
Do you have some photos of how the BT module fit behind the climatronic?

Since there isn't much room to install the module in the dash, have you got problem due to temperature with the module or the radio being warm?

In both cases I managed to run the mic wire to the roof light without removing the A pillar trim as I understand you need to replace the old lugs on the trim with new ones according to the official manual.

How did you manage to install the microphone without remove the A pillar trim? Have you ran the microphone cable along the A pillar trim, externally? Do you have some photos of the process?

Just push the wire under the trim - pull the seal back from around the door frame and you should be able to push it under without removing the trim.

Have not had any issues with heat and everything is in working order.

Unfortunately no pics taken at the time.

Like I said ... the key to making room is to sort of move the existing harness wires on the RNS510 to one side.
There is plenty of room on the left hand side and behind the glove box.

NOTE: Only tricky if you have the whole kit and caboodle wired up to the RNS510.

I have a puck GPS antenna, RVC tapping into the existing RNS510 wiring harness for power to navigate around when fitting the BT module.
