What value do you have in your channel 4 adaption settings?
Is it
068 000 0000000000
or
068 JCB 1111111111
If it is the latter, then the software version in the CANbus does not support DAS hence the error code you wrote about.
My original CANbus displayed the same values you have for channels 6,7 and 8.

Thanks fo that Prako. I have updated my opening post with your findings from ETKA.
Unfortunately VCDS is not able to extract that model information when you do an autoscan and the only thing that i could find different from my scanning of my old non DAS CANbus to my new one with it was the channel 4 adaption settings which you cannot change from accessing the #19 CANbus module location but can now be done by accessing the virtual module #61 adaption settings instead. Maybe the default battery settings for the DAS enabled modules in VW'S is 068 000 000000000 and 077 VAO 000000000 in Skoda's?
I will try and recode mine to reflect my battery details to see if it makes any difference and secondly I wonder if module 61, which is a virtual module can be activated without errors in those vehicles that do not have stop start as standard and again does it make any difference to their operational efficiency?

No, I think that is deafault setings for all new gateway 068 000 0000000000. 61 is not virtal module, it is added into gateway module (two modules on same pcb, or three If there are 4C central electic II), and he has connected directly via pin 12 on gateway module to battery module (1K0 915 181 X) on battery negative connection wire controler (LIN bus connection) If there is not battery module, error will be on 61 module (battery modul connectin fault)... BTW i can change in adaptation in 19 gateway module Chanel 04, also in 61 chanel, only in 61 chanel had pop up menu for explain adaptation setings...
Sorry for my english, i hope that you understand what i wrote...

Firstly great write up and credit for effort. Just so I can gather all this inside my head everybody out there will pay $$$ for a feature that warns you to take a coffee break after driving so long or after 2hours? Please save your money and start using your brains!!!
