Replacing 2008 Hood Lining Is A Nightmare?

    Hi guys,
I was given a work car, and sat the tiggy for too long in the weather. Several issues created.

Hood lining completely separated & sagging. I saw a great article online, and contacted the trimmers who gave it.

    They responded:

    "Hi,
At this stage we don't do VW headlinings any more due to a number of issues encountered whilst working on them. You can try VW themselves as I know they repair them, however they themselves charge a significant amount as the job is renowned for being a nightmare on that specific model."

I offered to remove everything & clean/prep etc. Made no difference.

Hi eggsbenny, I also need to replace the headlining on my 2014 Tiguan. How did it end up going and how much did it cost?
Any recommendations would be immensely helpful.

    Hey James,
I haven't done anything about it, unfortunately. Kept it in the too hard basket. But I desperately need to find a solution & sell the car.

Oh rats. Okay I'll let you know if I get it done and how it goes.

If someone else who has gone through it can respond that would be great
