I don't know of any for rent but you could ask your local dealer if they will let you have one overnight to test it.
Am thinking about upgrading from a Golf mkV to a Tiguan as our family car (2 small kids), but am uncertain if it's a big enough upgrade size wise. Am wondering if someone knows any company that offers the Tiguan for rent, in order to get a proper full day test drive?

Not sure of any rental companies out there with Tigs but would agree with team_v that a decent dealer will generally let you have a car overnight if they think you're a serious buyer.
I have 3 kids - 3, 6 & 8 and they all fit in the back. Yes the boot isn't the biggest but then you're not driving around a truck either.
Any car is a compromise, however I think the Tiguan overall is a pretty good package - good performance, economy, finish and right up there in the value for money stakes.
Plus there's plenty of opportunity to upgrade it with aftermarket bits if you choose to go down this path.

yep "any good dealer" will let you take a demo overnight..but I can tell you that finding these "good" dealers is very very hard!!!
I actually had one tell me recently when I went in looking at a golf GTI, that "we dont let our sports cars be driven unless you pay a deposit on an order"
Can you beleive that? We own a POLO GTI fully optioned, as well as My TIGUAN, and I am not a young punk in a backwards cap!
