. Just in case you have same problem team_v, I had to build up the tiny wire coming out of the wedge bulbs because they would not make contact in the plastic holders of the roof map lights. Even bending them out didn't work, but a drop of solder got it sorted. The footwell ones were fine though.

I know it refers to colour temp aussie, but what looks different between the 5000 / 6000K?

4300K (stock bulbs) have a yellow tinge to them.

5000K are the closest thing to "pure white".

6000K are like 5000K in terms of whiteness, but with slight blue tinge to it.

Anyhow, these bulbs are sold now.

thanks aussie, the interior ones I put in must then be 6000 because they have a distinctly blue tinge to them - matches the blue footwell ones very nicely, which in turn matches the blue dash and climate temp guages

Yes based on experience to date, most LEDs you get for interior application (i.e. no in-built resistor) are 6000K.

Also the higher the Kelvins, the lower the actual output (not to be confused with brightness).

Quite frankly, I would recommend 5000K as the best balance between colour & output.

Unfortunately only came to this conclusion after purchasing 6000K HID (D1S) and had to subsequently colour match all the other exterior LED bulbs to that.

aussie, did you replace your rear number plate light? If so, did the Blesk work?

I was leaving the bottle shop tonight (hoping to find some $28 cartons!) and looked at the reflection of lights in the window of the shop as I pulled in, the yellow front parkers looked really bad so going to replace them, and the rear number plate if it works.

Yes ... Like I said, have replaced all my bulbs inside & out for LEDs except brakes, reverse & fogs.

Unfortunately, they work but still can throw up errors.
Don't know why, but never had this problem with Blesks on my Mk5 Golf GTI.
Somehow you can't trick the Tig! And I've tried every brand.

In fact, I have a spare set of park LEDs. PM if you want them at cost.
