Rear View Camera - Please recommend for this installation.

I got RNS510 installed from dealer without camera because RVC(rear view camera) had to be manufacture fitted.

Any recommendations for a good machanic around Brisbane can install RVC (rear view camera) with reasonable price, I could see the topic to DIY, but I would like to find someone good at it just do it for me... ...

The kits that use Kufatec interfaces and are absolute rubbish. Don't touch RVC interfaces from Kufatec if you want the RVC to actually work.

I can only assume that Dermot is talking about the Kufatec kits, fitting the VW system as it comes from the factory works 100% of the time exactly the same as if factory fitted.

I had a kufatec rvc adapter but was a POS and returned it too.

Contact JMAC on the forum here. He's a VW master technician and has done a lot of good work for members here in Brisbane.

He's especially good at things like this. Get the Reverse Camera Kit from Guy_H and then go to Jimmy (jmac) to get it fitted. He'd likely charge you less than anybody else .....

Also, I'd recommend you take your Tig to him for scheduled servicing. He does the work hiself and pride himself on his quality of work. That way you get a master tech to do the work on your car instead of an apprentice at a dealership......

He has serviced all my VWs in Brisbane and my Tig is going to him next week. For std service and some other extras like yours requires .....
