That is weird .. Usually German cars ( at least VW/ BMW/ Merc etc) under claim their values. Most of the time we can get even a just a bit better time than manufacturer claims. I think they under claim these values so that people can generally achieve claimed values with out optimum conditions.

On the other hand some car companies over claim their values ( e.g Ford, Holden etc) and people can never achieve those values in real world ..

As other guys said it is very accurate. Soon I go to drag strip to do a quarter mile run and will be able to compare results.

Some video I found comparing Pbox to other phone based software.

Yesterday night did some data logging while picking up my wife from Uni. I used my car tablet and Bluetooth dongle for logging. Wanted to check whether I have to do something to bring intake temperature down. Obviously turbo boost value is incorrect and further research showed OBD 2 can not read MAP sensor reading from VAG cars. Torque app just use MAF reading to calculate a boost value which is not accurate.

Ramee, has anyone ever told you that you are mad?

In relation to your question about intake temps, I don't think you're going to have problems with 10degC ambient temps unless you were driving your car very hard (and then possibly not even then).

If your question is whether you need to get a front mount intercooler or not the answer is obviously YES!

I'm getting one fitted in 2 weeks time mainly to keep engine temps down. I figure I'm running a tune and temps are going to be elevated purely because the engine is running harder/hotter so the intercooler will help to balance things out.

He he.. I get it all the time.. Those two engine rpm spikes were due to a BMW driver who did not want to accept his fate

I think Tigs already got FMIC , but love to upgrade it with a better one. I heard 10 deg intake temperature drop equates to some xx HP gain or some thing ? Aslo FMIC or Stealth WM is going to be a hard choice ..

Yes you need to upgrade the FMIC to stop the intake temps increasing. You won't get any noticeable increase in performance just less of a drop.

I would go for a turbo upgrade before doing something like water/meth. That would be mad enough

My new car tablet gauge Interface

I connected the tablet power to car lighter power supply and used android Automagic app to switch on and off screen when car ignition on and off. Also same app can be used to build complex automation processes and launch and kill specific apps based on different events.

My target is to interface an IOIO board to tablet and monitor and control different sensors and actuators through tablet, such as real boost gauge and a WM control system
