The V 3.0 reduces the compressor flutter noise (which some epople don't like), it actually drives seamlessly. It will be a while until they release it for the CCZ & CAW engines though.

Looks like it comes on and would pull like a train from 4,000rpm.

Hopefully I could get the APR mobile same time as well.

Also my Koni yellow sports are on the way. Cannot wait to drive this all new awesomeness.!

Mk7 Golf R is launched! I tried to keep calm myself not bother with it but then received an email from VW

Then download the broacher to check the Aus specs ..

I can imagine what these will do when people start to mod them !!

The problem is that you have to spend 52k + ORC on the base R then then another 2.5-ish to get stage 2 to get sub 5 seconds.
That has always been the selling point for the Tiguan in that it is a very cheap way (40k) to get Golf R level's of performance but with the extra functionality of the SUV.

Yes, I thought when cars become faster and faster the difference could become more apparent too. But this 0.2 sec gap is same as for Mk6 golf R as well. If I remember correctly it is 5.7s vs 5.9s for DSG and Manual respectively.

Yes. But with mk7 I think stage 1 will able to go under 5 sec. I am saying 4.6 sec 0 - 100 would be possible with Stage 1, considering low weight of the car. With Stage 2 hopefully will be able to match same power as AMG A45 and being lighter than A45 I think will go under 4.5 sec.

Also if some one spend 4.5k on their Tig with K04 can match the performance of MK7 golf R as well

Specially if he/she has a Tig!

After I installed the K04 did not have a chance to do a proper long distance drive until yesterday. So yesterday night I did around 90 km drive to a friends place and hit a fuel economy of 7.6 L/km average with two people on board. Actually I never had sub 8 L/km average before with Tiguan specially with stage 1 and 2. I remapped the Tig as soon as I got it so not sure about stock figures.

This is about 70% Highway and 30 % normal/city drive.
